My guess is that it is on it’s way to SAVANNAH where it will sit until it is sold. Not sure why Blake Swafford insisted on being so secret about something that is publicly available.  The picture at the top of the article is from one of the links and is the most recent I could find.

**** UPDATED 9/22 – I’ve received information that the aircraft is still registered in Nigeria and has a “special permit” to fly.  I’m in the process of trying to get a copy of that permit.  Also, the aircraft is scheduled to fly out of Paulding into Lawrenceville later this week. ****

Would the county explain why the “CITIZENS WISHING TO SPEAK” portion of the public access video was left out from the 7pm August 23rd BOC meeting? Also, Mr. Austin told me I would get an official response to my question from that same meeting. It’s been over a week and I have nothing so I’ll ask it again: What efforts have been made or are going to be made by the county to collect on the $1.9 million dollar debt owed to the taxpayers by the Paulding County Industrial Building Authority?

One of the cost savings in our department is to reduce our videographer’s hours. As of July 1, 2011, the Board of Commissioners Meetings will be filmed up to the close of regular business.

Keep in mind that there are basically four meetings per a month that offer the opportunity for a citizen to speak. Since I really don’t have the time to go through all the minutes of the past 12 months to see how many citizens actually spoke, I’ll be generous and say one per meeting. So you have 48 instances multiplied by a 5 minute time-limit. That’s 240 minutes per year or 4 total hours of citizen speaking-time per year. Do I need to do an open records request to see how much we’re paying the person to produce these videos and how much 4 hrs of filming is saving the taxpayer? Should we then compare that cost to the cost of travel, meals, and entertainment reimbursed to our commissioners?

Needless to say, the excuse provided by Chairman Austin is laughable and an insult to every taxpayer of the county. How about we cut out the 2 minute intro, the 2 minutes of credits, and let’s go ahead and cut out the entire voting part of the video because two of the chairs our empty due to two commissioners not even showing up!

So watch the video below and keep in mind that while you’re staring at those two empty chairs, there are two citizens waiting to speak, and when they finally do speak, Chairman David Austin does not consider their voice worthy of the annual cost of around 4 hrs of filming time. Or maybe there’s another reason Austin doesn’t want your voice to be heard? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…………

"Slick Willie" Avery

According to HD-19 Democrat Candidate Will Avery’s facebook page, he “Likes” the Global Fund for Education.  This is quite surprising (not) since Mr. Avery insists he is a “conservative democrat”.  Folks, I said it in my previous post and I’ll say it again.  Will Avery is committing political fraud and bamboozling Paulding County residents by passing himself off as anything else but an Obama-loving, liberal demcorat.

Let us now take a deeper look into what exactly the “Global Fund for Eduction” is:

What does the Education for All Act Do?

The EFA bill seeks to ensure the U.S. provides the resources and leadership to contribute to a successful international effort to provide all children with a quality basic education by 2015.

To ensure efforts to improve the quality of education, the U.S. shall commit resources to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and quality of basic education programs and develop specific indicators to measure learning outcomes.

The bill authorizes funding to help developing countries create and implement national education plans to achieve quality universal basic education.  It also requires the U.S. to align assistance to support these plans; coordinate and integrate bilateral and multilateral assistance so that aid is directly responsive to country needs, capacity, and commitment; as well as promote sustainable development.

The bill calls on the U.S. to support a multilateral education initiative, like the Fast Track Initiative or a multilateral Global Fund for Education.  The multilateral initiative should be independent and governed equally by donors, developing country governments, and civil society based;

Recognizing the importance of holistic development of communities, the U.S. should utilize schools as the foundations for community development and build them as centers of integrated development assistance programs, such as health, nutrition, adult literacy, business training, democracy education, and housing programs..

The bill also directs the President to create a comprehensive strategy on Education for All to achieve the targets and goals of Education for All as prioritized in this bill.

The creation of the position of the Education for All Coordinator, which would oversee and carry out Education for All policies, ensure coordination within the U.S. Government and with NGOs and international partners, and convene an annual meeting to evaluate progress in the U.S. strategy for Education for All.

The President to submit an annual report to Congress that will include efforts to achieve the goals and implement the strategy.

Authorizes sufficient funds to expand access to and improve quality of basic education.

President Obama is supportive of global education. In fact, during the presidential campaign in 2008, he stated his intention to sign the 2007 Education for All Act into law. He also pledged $2 billion for a global education fund. This commitment was reiterated by Secretary of State Clinton during her confirmation hearings; as a senator, Secretary Clinton introduced the Education for All Act of 2007. At the September 2009 UN General Assembly meeting, President Obama announced he would come to the 2010 UN Millennium Development Goal (MDG) Summit with a plan to achieve the MDGs — which include Education for All.

Folks, it is no coincidence that WILL AVERY would choose to “LIKE” the GLOBAL FUND FOR EDUCATION on his facebook page.  For educational elitists like WILL AVERY, there will never, ever, be enough tax-payer funding for education.  Not only for Paulding County, the State of Georgia, or America, but for the Entire World. Wake up conservatives!

"Slick Willie" Avery

For those of you who may be unaware, Paulding County has a Liberal Democrat running for State House District 19.  Over the past several months, Mr. Avery has been campaigning and touting himself as a “Conservative Democrat”.   However, when you start to examine Avery’s friends and associates, a clear pattern starts to emerge – Will Avery is nothing more than a left-wing Obama liberal.  This post serves as the first of several articles exposing the political fraud being committed by Mr. Avery and his attempt to bamboozle District 19 away from Paulding County’s conservative majority.

Let’s first take a look at the list of contributions Avery secured from the nation’s top labor unions (please click on each link to learn more about each of these organizations):

• $500.00 – DRIVE Committee (International Brotherhood of Teamsters)

• $250.00 – Georgia State AFL-CIO PAA (The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations)

• $250.00 – IBEW Educational Committee (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers)

• $200.00 – UFCW Local 1996 Active ballot club (United Food and Commercial Workers International Union)

In addition to supporting Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, ObamaCare, Cap-N-Trade, and Card-Check, many of these labor unions joined up with various Communist and Socialist groups this past October 2nd at the One Nation Working Together March in Washington D.C. Folks, this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Will Avery.  Let me encourage my fellow Paulding County neighbors in District 19 to do the right thing and vote for the candidate who will support and vote with the other conservatives at the capitol.  Handing over Paulding to such a radical, leftist element like Avery, would be a shame when the rest of Georgia and America is going in the “right” direction.
