Operations Director of GA Libertarian Party Equates Nathan Deal and GA GOP to White Supremacists

Those who are familiar with die-hard Libertarians already know about their controversial and extreme positions of open borders, legalized drugs, and blaming America’s foreign policiy for 9/11.  Accordingly, the below facebook post by Brett Bittner, Operations Director for the Libertarian Party of Georgia, is a prime example of why disaffected Republicans need to steer clear of the Libertarian Party. Yesterday, Mr. Bittner posted the following on his facebook page, “Don’t worry, GA GOP… @VoteDeal is in good company. http://bit.ly/dqNI4v“.

Here is an image of the post:

The article he references and associates with Nathan Deal and the GA GOP is entitled Nazis Hold Rally Against Illegal Immigration in Los Angeles. Here’s an excerpt:

A rally of about 40 white supremacists Saturday on the lawn of Los Angeles City Hall drew hundreds of counter-protesters, sparked brawls in which two people were severely beaten and ended with crowds of demonstrators hurling rocks and bottles at police and departing supremacists.

The rally, conducted by the National Socialist Movement, prompted the Los Angeles Police Department to go on tactical alert as counter-protesters from throughout the region flooded into downtown L.A. They included a wide assortment of African American, Jewish, Latino, immigrants-rights and anarchist groups.

So in essence, Nathan Deal and everyone associated with the Georgia Republican Party are white supremacist Naizs because they’re against illegal immigration. Needless to say, Mr. Bittner’s post is extremely offensive and inappropriate. I encourage my fellow Republican friends, who are entertaining the thought of supporting Chuck Donovan, John Monds, or any of the other state-wide Libertarian candidate, to do their homework and thoroughly research the Libertarian Party and its leadership. I trust that you’ll find out what I’ve discovered about the Libertarian Party, they’re led by a bunch of crazy nuts.

Interesting…but I’m still trying to figure out what a “disinfected Republican” is…one that’s been sprayed down with Lysol? I would have probably used the word “disaffected,” but that’s just me.

[...] At least according to the Operations Director for the Libertarian Party of Georgia. [...]

    Mr. Milanese,

You’ve taken a post that was at worst sarcastic and critical, inferred an offense that didn’t occur, and twisted it to fit your political agenda.

Mr. Bittner wrote that Deal was in good company with regard to his views on immigration, not that he was equal to a white supremacist. Nor did the post equate GA GOP to white supremacists. Was there an unflattering parallel drawn because both Deal and this group of protesters are against illegal immigration? Obviously. Was it an inappropriate comment for the Director of Operations of the Georgia Libertarian Party to make? Probably.

But this tempest in a teapot is far from a legitimate reason to vote for poor candidates and establishment politicians like Nathan Deal and Johnny Isakson. The GOP can do better, and where they have, they’ll get my vote in November. But at least a few Libertarians are already among my choices, and your call for loyalty to the GOP at any cost smacks of desperation.

No one ever learns a lesson without consequences, and I hope the GOP will be learning a big one in November.

You’re voting for candidates that support open borders with Mexico? Good luck with that.

Sounds to me like the choices are a democrat who had his chance and failed miserably, a republican who is a career politician (read: suspect) with if not questionable ethics at least ethics that have been questioned, and libertarians who’s sanity may be in question. When am I supposed to get excited about the governor’s race? I’m personally campaigning for “none of the above”.

how can anybody be a career politician without someone like you voting them in every time???The voters vote them into office and then complain that they are career politicians. what a way to do nothing and be nothing. to vote for anybody based on your comments shows your real lack of interest in the political process. You could at least have some reason to vote for your choice.

First, I only said being a career politician made him suspect, not that I couldn’t vote for him at all. Second, just because he’s in office doesn’t mean I’ve ever voted for him (I haven’t, btw). Finally, you’re correct on one point. I have little if any interest in the political “process” as it is practiced today. It is corrupt, and slanted to keep career politicians of both parties in office. It’s the kind of founding principals issue that I’m certain has our founding fathers spinning in their graves.

For one thing, Libertarians’ sanity is only in question by those that are insane themselves. You have nothing to fear by the Libertarian party; especially by John Monds.

How is this in any way different than tying Ron Paul to Storm Front?

The Governor of Georgia has no power to open a border that is a thousand miles away from his state. This particular Libertarian Party platform plank is a non-issue in this race. Your knee-jerk reaction has the stench of fear.

Nathan Deal is a pathetic, deranged, Christianazi hiding behind the cross to promote his racist narrow minded policies. He will certainly hand the election to Barnes on a silver platter. While the Libertarian candidate may be underfunded , and not as well known, but at least he is a man of honor who is respected by those who know him. Deal needs to retire and return to the racist backwoods of North Georgia where his inbred supporters love him. Let the Republicans reap what they have sown by electing such a degenerate to lead their party !!Obviously the Republicanmn party knows their in trouble or they wouldnt be so concernes about a candidate they say is no threat to their party.

Your supposed “equation” simply does not follow from Bittner’s comment, he said no such thing, his statement does not even imply the proposition you attribute to him. He never said Nathan Deal and the GA GOP are all white supremacists, only that Nathan Deal and neo-Nazis are on the same side of the issue. And this is indisputable. Neo-Nazis and white supremacists have supported Nathan Deal since at least 2005.

“He never said Nathan Deal and the GA GOP are all white supremacists” … correct but he wants you to think that. Your argument is pathetic. It is obvious what Bittner was trying to infer.
